Pam Floyd, Council Chair. Pam Floyd recently retired from the Ash Grove School District. She now spends a lot of time entertaining her five grandchildren, which has made her a natural for coordinating the children’s ministries of our church. Pam also teaches Youth Sunday School. She lives in Halltown with her husband, Steve.
Susie Mason, Treasurer. Susie Mason retired from working in the District Office of the Missouri Conference, so she certainly knows her way through church policy and numbers. Susie is one of the coordinators of our Senior Ritas and an avid Knitwit. Susie lives in Springfield with her husband, Jerry.
Charlie Downs, Trustees Chair. Charlie recently retired from O’Reilly Auto Parts and is enjoying spending his retirement with his grandkids and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Charlie has served the church in a number of areas over the years and is currently doing an incredible job as the Chair of the Trustees. Charlie lives in Walnut Grove with his wife, Bev.
Steve Floyd, Finance Chair & Lay Leader. Steve recently retired from Springfield City Utilities. His engineering background shows up in his rational approach to his duties as Finance Chair and Lay Leader. He also teaches the New Covenant class. Barry Davis, PPR Chair. Barry works at SRC Automotive and spends as much time as he can outdoors. Barry enjoys serving on the PPR committee so much he was elected Chair after his first year of service! Barry lives in the Bois D’Arc area with his wife, Lisa, and his son, Turner.
Gregg Johnson, Communications Director. Gregg works for Great Southern Bank. He is a longtime member of BDUMC. Gregg handles our email and Facebook communication as well as strategizing on all other communication efforts, including this website. Gregg occasionally lets his incredible sense of humor shine in our communication efforts which has led to charmingly-named events like our Christmas Eve food drive, “Let There Be Peas on Earth.” You can read Gregg’s statement on why BDUMC is his church.
Bill Townsend, Missions Coordinator. Bill stepped in to cover our Crosslines FISH Church efforts when the previous coordinator moved out of town, and he ended up coordinating most of our missions efforts. In addition to coordinating with Crosslines and the local school for our Backpack Program, Bill is a great resource anytime we start a new long- or short-term mission project. He is incredibly resourceful and an asset to our church’s missions efforts. Bill also teaches in the Wesleyan Sunday School teacher rotation and is a counter on Sunday mornings.
