Three adult Sunday School classes are held each Sunday morning between worship services.
The United Methodist Women meet monthly on the Third Wednesday of the month for fellowship, learning, and mission planning Our UMW focuses on church and community projects. They provide for church members in times of need. They are especially appreciated during times of loss, when their funeral meals, cards, and flowers provide a reminder to grieving families that they are loved and remembered. The UMW also has a lot of fun. Each year, they host a Ladies Night Out for all the women of the church.
The Knitwits have so much personality, we gave them their own page written by one of their members. Click here to learn more about this lively group.
The SeniorRitas is a unique ministry within our church. It is most fun group of people you can ever enter through tragedy. It started as a fellowship group for the widows of our church. The membership remains open only to widows, but it is not a tearful support group. Well, there are tears, but they are usually tears of mirth. This group has been a great source of fun and adventure for its members. On the last Friday night of each month, the ‘Ritas arrive at one of the coordinator’s houses for a party, game night, movie night, excursion, or cookout. These are do-not-miss events for the members. The coordinators (Jerry and Susie Mason, Dan and Ginger Ellsworth) do a great job planning the fun events and mail out invitation letters each month to the members. They do an especially good job of reaching out to new widows.
OWN is a small group of women that meets once a month (hence the name, One Wednesday Night) for fellowship, snacks, and fun. We often have a theme for the meeting and sometimes work together to learn a DIY project. Recent meetings include using chalk paint to restore furniture, basic upholstery, and essential oils. This group meets on the second Wednesday night of the month in various homes of the members. Please speak with Anne Keller if you’re interested in joining this fun group.
