The early service at 9 AM is a little more relaxed, a little shorter. One of our kids calls it “Quick Church.” It may be quick, but it’s not light in content. We sing fewer verses of the hymns, have a different regular crowd, and meet earlier. Still, there are folks who insist that the early service is the only service they want to attend! It is particularly popular with our farmers and with our families with young children. We’ve had a lot of growth by offering the early service of worship, and we encourage attendees to stay for breakfast where they can get to know the Sunday School and second service crowd.
The 11 AM service is just slightly more formal. The pastor has been known to wear a robe in the 11 AM service but never in the 9 AM service. This is the worship service that has been around for years and it is popular both with families with older children and families that have been at BDUMC for generations.
Whether you choose to attend one or try both, you’ll find our worship services thought-provoking and truly worshipful.
